World Health Day: Providing The Underprivileged With Treatment & Support

Every year on April 7th, the world unites to observe World Health Day, a global health awareness day initiated by the World Health Organization (WHO). The 2025 theme, “My Health, My Right,” underscores the fundamental human right to access quality health services, clean water, nutritious food, education, and safe environments. On this significant day, Child Help Foundation (CHF) reiterates its commitment to promoting inclusive and accessible healthcare for all—especially for India’s most vulnerable communities.

At CHF, we believe that health is not a privilege—it is a right. Over the years, we have been working relentlessly across India to bridge the healthcare gap, particularly in underprivileged regions where basic services are often out of reach. Our initiatives focus on maternal and child health, malnutrition, critical medical support, health awareness, and preventive care. Through our partnerships with hospitals, grassroots organizations, and local governments, we have supported thousands of families in accessing urgent medical treatment for their children and have helped 4,87,684 people.

One of our key focus areas is providing critical medical support to children from economically weaker sections. Many of these children suffer from life-threatening illnesses such as congenital heart defects, cancer, and other rare disorders. With support from our generous donors and well-wishers, CHF has successfully enabled surgeries and treatments that have saved countless lives. These efforts are a testament to what we can achieve when we stand together for health equity.

CHF also places great emphasis on preventive health education and awareness. In collaboration with medical professionals and community leaders, we conduct health camps, hygiene drives, and nutritional awareness programs across rural and urban slums. These interventions empower families with the knowledge they need to protect their health, reduce the risk of disease, and improve overall well-being.

Additionally, our recent health camps for women and adolescent girls have addressed reproductive health, anemia, and vitamin deficiencies—issues that are often neglected in rural India. We provide free check-ups, distribute supplements, and create safe spaces for open conversation about health.

This World Health Day, we call upon individuals, corporations, and institutions to support our mission. Let us pledge to build a healthier future—where every child has the chance to live, grow, and thrive. We urge everyone to recognize that good health is not a luxury, but a right that must be protected and promoted.

Join us in making this vision a reality. Together, we can ensure that “My Health, My Right” is not just a slogan, but a lived truth for every child, every mother, and every individual in our country.
